Note: This story will most likely hardly follow the story line. But the story happens somewhere around the shippuden series.

   Naruto wiped his foredhead. He had removed his forehead protector for a moment to cool off, but it wasn't helping much. He let out a deep sigh of relief as a cloud slowly drifted under the sun. Some light had shown through the branches of the tree, and a second ago, he could have sworn he saw a little girl running with a dog. When he relized nothing was there, he figured he was hallucinating from the heat. He unzipped his jacket to let cool air in. He had just gotten finished practicing his aim with the kunai, and was too tired now to walk home.
  "Why'd today have to be SO hot?" Naruto questioned as if he were going to get an answer. "It was cool this morning..." Naruto drifted off into his memories of earlier. It was pretty much the same old morning, except for the fact that there was a letter he had gotten. "Oh, yeah... I forgot all about that letter. Maybe I should open it now..." He took the white envelope, and slowly slit it open. He smiled at the picture layed inside it. The picture of team 7. 'Back in the day' I guess you would call it. Hmm... how can I put this? My first impression of this group... your a bunch of idiots. Naruto laughed to himself. He remembered that day when they all had to wait for Kakashi-sensei to arrive. Naruto let out a small laugh.
  "You're happy?"
   Naruto turned quickly to see a small child standing about six feet from him, Her hair was red. as was her eyes, and she had tan skin, she was wearing a kimono. "W-what?" Naruto put the picture back inside the envelope.
  "When you're happy... you laugh, right?" She stepped a little bit closer. "My mother said when you're happy you laugh." A small dog came running up to her side.
  "Hey, didn't I see you earlier, playing with that dog?" Naruto rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't hallucinating.
  "Reito is his name. He's my best friend..."
  "Oh... so, your real right?" Naruto questioned thinking it could be a dream.
  "Yes... I don't seem real because I don't stay in one village for a long time, but I am."
  "Huh?" Naruto looked at her in confusion.
  "Nevermind.... we'll talk later? Right? Just call for me when you want to talk, ok... Rika... that is my name." She slowly walked behind the trees.
  "W-wait? What are you talking about?" It had to be a dream, no matter how real it felt. He just leaned back against the tree. "There's no way that was real... the heats getting to me..."
